My name is Dale Walksler, owner and curator of the Wheels Through Time Museum in Maggie Valley, NC. We have sold parts on ebay for many years, and occasionally I let go of a bike or basket case that I don't have the time to finish.
Up for auction is a rare 1929 Harley Davidson JC --Mostly Complete with OEM PARTS!!!
This machine has been housed at Wheels Through Time for many years, it features a 61 ci engine with VERY RARE tapered fin cylinders. Engine numbers match, cylinders are perfect. The transmission and clutch have been rebuilt. This bike has the proper 1929 frame and '29 fork, as seen by the reinforcement on the front leg. The fork and frame are near perfect.
It has the original double headlight bracket with very RARE dual 1929 spot lights. The handlebars appear to be JDH Sport Solo bars, RARE, and sportier than what came on a stock 1929.
This '29 has many rare parts including:
-OEM DLX 45 Carburetor-1929 (one year only) Coil
-OEM Harley-Davidson Taillight-Klaxon Horn (has been rebuilt)-OEM Dual-Headlight Bracket-1929 RARE Spotlights-Fenders (Nice!)-Rims (perfect)-Handlebars (perfect)-Motor (nice old rebuild)-Transmission (nice)-Frame (perfect)-Fork (perfect)-Rear Stand (perfect)
Front brake is complete, but backing plate will need to be installed. Includes box of parts (as pictured, with fenders & primary cover)
Missing a few incidental items (some hardware, pipe, fuel line, dash & seat). Gas tanks have some lead, and right tank has a few pin holes.
Great start to a very rare model. NO reproduction parts.
