here we have a 1948 indian chief . it has been in dry storage for 47 years. the chief has most of the original paint, front fender is not original paint. it is very complete. it sports its original speedo, dash, horn, front fender light, tank emblems, carburater& breather, bumper guard, luggage rack, seat, ect, right down to the original lux tail light lens. fins look nice, bike was not abused. speedo shows 12900 mi. the motor turned nice, I had my mechanic : carburater cleaned & set, tune up on the distributer, new oil , but before installing the new battery (included with this bike) the exhaust valVe stuck open.he put marvel mystery oil in them to soak and possibly free up. so motor turns great , and transmission shifts great, but exhaust valves will have to be cleaned to run. the front tire is flat , but I have another old tire that goes with the bike. the numbers are matching, and has a clear Indiana title.
