Seller Description

Firstly, this is a 1956 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 Limousine
The mileage shown is 48741 but the odometer is stuck. I cannot verify actual miles since 1956!
My understanding is that only 955 of these vehicles were ever built in the United States. (1095 Sedans)
This car remains original left-hand drive.
It has been looked after and has had plenty of work done to it over the years. No major damage, but a small scratch on one door which I have taken a photo of. Currently on club rego - so not transferable. Could be driven home on an RTA permit.
The only history I have from the 70's show the car has having lived in the San Diego area in California.
285bhp, 365cu. in. ( 6.0 Litre) OHV V-8 engine, four-speed Hydra-Matic transmission.
Collectors usually prefer this '56 model as it was the 'last of series' with the higher horsepower engine and updated transmission.
While commercial chassis production was greater (ambulances, hearses, etc) surviving examples of these cars may be the rarest and most desirable of all.
This big series 75 limousine came as an eight-seater car without the driver's partition which was optional in this model year.
In 1956 there was a new grill, with a finer-textured insert, and the repositioning of the parking lights in the bumpers, below the wing guards. Buyers were given an option of the standard satin finish grille or an optional gold finish. Cadillac script was found on the left side. A narrow chrome moulding and nine vertical louvres were seen. Side trim was similar to the '55, except for the addition of exhaust extension moldings on the rear fender. The exhaust is integrated into the rear chrome bumper design.
The collector that knows about these cars will appreciate what an amazing vehicle this is now - imagine back in 1956!
Please, I'm busy most days but happy to engage with a genuine buyer.
Additional photos, video walk around, etc are all ok by prior arrangement.
I'm looking for a cash buyer that knows and understands what they are buying, not interested in finance buys, deals, swaps, or any other.
If your wife hasn't signed off on your budget, don't call me, please.

I'm not busting to sell it, only that I have too many cars and the council will not let me build a bigger shed, so I store some of them off-site.
(inconvenient)
If you plan to chop it up and airbag it - I won't sell it to you - sorry. These are rare and deserve to be preserved.
