Presented in beautiful “Turquoise Blue” with blue cloth
interior, this gorgeous Cadillac Series 62 sedan will take pride of place in
any collection.
This stunning matching numbers Cadillac has been in the
ownership of a Cadillac enthusiast since 2014.

The vehicle was imported into
Australia in early 2011 with the Continental kit installed when bought from the
Daniel Schmitt dealership in Missouri that year. During the current ownership the
Cadillac has undergone a full mechanical overhaul with no expense spared by Mr.
Callum Hazzard at Red Line Auto, Bundaberg while engine machining was done by
Jacobsen Engineering also in Bundaberg. The only modifications from standard during
the overhaul was the distributor being converted to electronic ignition and
generator changed to an aftermarket alternator that looks similar in appearance
to the original, otherwise all parts were kept as original as possible for
posterity.
New suspension bushings were also installed along with ball
joints, brake overhaul and slightly stiffer springs for the rear to improve
handling without compromising on ride quality. The vehicle now drives exactly
how a Cadillac should with relatively effortless acceleration with brilliant
ride quality one would expect with a luxury vehicle from the late 50’s.
Further work was carried out in the interior with new loop
pile carpeting matching the interior specification and colour scheme. The Cadillac
retains its original valve radio still in fully functioning condition that
plays through the front speaker while an aftermarket Bluetooth radio plays
through the rear speaker adding a little touch of modern convenience. The
continental kit was taken off but retained by the owner which is included in
the sale.
All receipts for work carried out over the last 3 years now
totalling over $33,000.
The Cadillac comes with a box full of documentation from the
last 3 owners going back to it’s purchase in the USA. Also included is the continental kit, some
spare parts taken off during the mechanical rebuild, reproduction of the 1958
owner’s manual and a 1945/1958 shop manual + supplemental manual.
These stunning Cadillacs are seldom seen on the roads today
and are an appreciating asset ready to be snapped up by the savvy collector.
