Seller Description

I
recently moved and I no longer have the space to keep but one
old car, so this one unfortunately has to go.
This is a
Kansas-built 1959 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight Holiday SceniCoupe ( 2 door hardtop
coupe ). This car is exceptional as not only is this a top of the line two door
coupe, in an attractive 1950s two tone, it’s a real unrestored survivor. This
car is 99% all original, down to the paint, interior, chrome, glass, stainless,
etc.. I have pulled it out of a barn myself last year, after it had been stored
for more than 30 years.
When I
got it out of the barn, I wanted to make it roadworthy, safe and reliable,
while retaining everything I could untouched, original and unrestored, so as to
not mess with its survivor status. So, I did only what was absolutely
necessary, and I did not do any modifications to the car. You won’t see many of
these true 1950's survivors around anymore, let alone a top-of-the-line two door coupe.
Specs of this car:
Motor: 394 c.i. Rocket V8, Rochester
Quadri-Jet 4 barrel carb., 315 hp.Transmission : Jetaway Hydra-Matic Drive Automatic
Paint is
two tone: В« Emerald Mist Metallic В» main
body colour and В« Crystal Green В» roof and trunk
Power
windows, power seat, Roto-Matic Power steering, Pedal-Ease Power brakes, Deluxe
Radio, Bi-Phonic rear speaker, genuine leather seats, tinted glass, windshield
washer and two speed wipers, DeLuxe Spinner hubcaps, Accessory group A
(underhood and trunk lights, backup lights, vanity mirror)
Everything
works as it should (except windshield washer pump and clock) and she starts at
the turn of the key and purrs flawlessly. This car is a dream to drive on the
highway: such a smooth cruiser, it’s incredible.
Done,
repaired or changed since last year:
Complete
brake system was redone, including the rebuilding of the treadle vac power
brake booster, power steering gearbox was redone,Gas pump, radiator, Gas tank and lines, Carburetor, bushings,
ball joints, exhaust, coil, distributor, plugs and wires, etc. I have thousands
of dollars in bills for the work done. Brand new set of Coker classic radial
whitewall tires and perfect alignment.

Cosmetically,
she is a 60 year old survivor, so the paint has patina and is not perfect. It
has many little scratches, dings and beauty marks. This car definitely has
character and mojo! The only major flaw, comsmetically, is the very end of the rear passenger
quarter that has been damaged sometime in the past and was left untouched
(see photos). This is the only area that I would have some work done to the car
if I were to keep it. It does not deter the looks too much and the car is super nice as is.
Now, the icing
on the cake: this car is the most dry and solid 1950’s car I have ever seen personally.
It is had to believe and you have to see it to believe it. The floors are perfect all around,
not one single hole or repair. This is just dry, solid steel everywhere. Same
with the body, there is not trace of rust, rot or past repair: again, the only damage is the one mentioned, at the rear end of the passenger side quarter panel.I insist on this:
this is a solid vehicle! If you ever restored 1950’s American cars in the past,
you know what this means and you know how rare this is.
All the
booklets, manuals and brochures I have with it will remain with the car,
including the dealer upholstery book (worth more than 300$ alone).
I am including some parts in the sale too.
There is a hairline crack in the lower front corner of the driver door window, but I am including a brand new tinted window with the whole new chrome frame ready to install with the sale.
I am also including a brand new underhood insulation pad that is ready to install.
Also, some trim parts that are better than the ones on the car are included, if you care to change them. I wanted to keep the whole car original.
Finaly, I am also including a WORKING 1959 Oldsmobile TRANS-PORTABLE AM RADIO with the car. Talk about a neat bonus!
FINE
PRINT, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING!!!!

Quebec City, Quebec, Canada and it is soldas is and where is. I have clear ownership of this car and have sold other cars to the USA in the past, it is not very complicated to import back in the USA, just a couple more forms to fill with your DMV and the border agents.

this nice, so bid away.
