You are looking at a Original California Truck & Camper Combo that
has been married together since sold new in 1965. Documented low mileage
60k with stacks of maintenance records and repair invoices. This 1965
Ford F-250 Long bed Pick Up Truck has the right look. The body is solid
with a older Aqua Blue re-paint job a original color for the truck.
Shines up and shows well. It starts, drives and stops extremely well.
It has a 352 FE V8 engine recently tuned up. The Three Speed "on the
tree" Manual Transmission shifts well with gear selection on the column.
Brand new high cold cranking 12v Battery. Easily Crusies 65mph down the
highway just did a 500 mile round trip during the holidays.
This Ford rides on 16" Red Steel Rims and Radial Fat White Wall tires
and Stock Bottlecap wheel covers. Factory Twin I-Beam front suspension.
Looks like a old truck drives like a old pick-up,that said it easily
goes straight down the road with lots of power. Very nice grill, painted
front and rear bumper are good driver condition. Heavy Duty Barden rear
bumper with tow ball for trailer hauling.
The interior is very comfortable with solid floors covered with original
factory rubber and mud & snow mats. Very nice stock Bench Seat free
of rips or tears , Seat belts behind the seat - wonderful original
headliner. The AM Radio is in the dash it works and sounds great. Gauges
Cluster functions Speedometer, GEN light, oil pressure, temp, and Fuel.
Working Lights and Turn signals. Loud Ahooga Horn lets every one at the campgrounds know you have arrived. All of the original Ford safety flat
glass, windshield, and back window are crack free. All windows roll down
freely. Very Solid bed under the camper (see pics).
The 1965 Holiday Camper of El Monte California has been well cared for
and has the records to prove it. Very comfortable and sleeps 4 Adults.
Functioning sink, stove, oven, and ice box. Its like a time capsule,
outfitted with vintage plates and utensils, pots and pans, quilts and
afgans... ect. Small but manageable bathroom with a vintage honey pot
(see pics)Ready to take Glamping on Pick Up!!!
In a nut shell this truck is a classic! Turn the key and go cruise! This
is not a museum quality truck rather a original truck that has been
loved and used its whole life as a Recreational vehicle truck, ready for
someone to just enjoy as a nice driver or take it to shows not a
trailer queen by any means but it's a cool truck. Any and every-time I
drive this truck I get nothing but waves, thumbs ups, conversation, I
cant come out of a store with out somebody standing there looking in!
This is a California Truck and always has been to the best of my
knowledge. Black and Yellow Folsom Prison Stamped CA Commercial Plates.
Current registration, and is titled as a "house car". It is a good
driver with a California title in hand. Visible Vin and Body Tags. Drive
