Seller Description

Up for sale is a 1968 Mercedes-Benz 230 primed to be restored. It's not currently running, but it was when I bought it a few weeks ago and I'm in over my head. I am not a car guy and this baby should really be with somebody that will care for her better.
I was at an auction a couple weeks ago not ever thinking that I would come home with a Mercedes. The car looks in great condition. The body is really nice with minimal rust (please see close up of rust spot on rear quarter panel). The interior is in great condition. They fired it up to sell the car and she purred. They moved her forward and back. I thought it was pretty cool, set a limit for how much I'd spend, and ended up buying it! I was pretty stoked! Paid for it, headed home to Lawrence, KS, and it broke down about a mile and a half into the trip. I was bummed. Towed her home and parked it in my garage.

I can't get it to turn over now and I can't find neutral. My wife is not happy that I came home with a non running Mercedes! Now I'm selling it!
The auctioneers said that the car came from Alabama, where they don't have titles for cars this old. I was given a Bill of Sale and Affidavit of Sale and was told that would be enough paperwork to get a title. I currently don't have a title. There is a spot of rust as pictured. Other than that, the car looks really good.
I highly encourage to come visit the car in person before you bid. She's a good one. She just needs a loving home. My loss is your gain! Please let me know any questions you have and I will be happy to try and answer.
Selling Where-Is, As-Is, with no warranties and no refunds.
I'm an auction junkie and ended up buying this car because of the thrill of the auction. Now I'm selling it, starting at $.01, with no reserve for the thrill of it again. Happy bidding!
