Up for sale is a very solid 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback 302 numbers matching car.  It has a factory 3 speed manual.  I purchased this car from the prior owner who owned it since 1970.  He documented the miles of this car with oil changes and service receipts.  I have pictures of them in this listing.  Also, note that the car has only been driven a couple thousand miles since the early 90s. This car was driven for pleasure by him until around 2007 when he went to start it one day and the battery was dead.  He never replaced the battery and the mustang sat.  When I found it in his garage it was under many boxes.  He said it had been sitting there ever since in his garage.  Wow.  He gave me all the documentation with the car along with original valve covers and more parts.  I wanted to get this engine started and running to prove it was in good condition.  I had to pour the gas out of the tank. I replaced the rubber fuel lines and fuel filter.  I replaced the belts, many hoses, spark plugs, spark plug wires and more.  I changed the oil with Joe Gibbs zinc additive oil and after reinstalling the gas tank, I poured a gallon of VP110 race fuel to try and clean out the carb and lines upon start.  Once I made sure there was spark I turned over the car it instantly started up and ran! I didn't hardly have to put my foot on the gas.  Wow!  Some things it needs as you can see from the photos is a paint job.  It does have some small hail dings over the top of the car.  There are a few body dents, but an easy fix for a good body man. My body man looked at this car and said it was the most solid car he as ever seen unrestored from this era.  The brakes do not work.  They need to be bled I think.  I didn't try to bleed them. It seems to shift into any gear easily when I push on the clutch. The oil dipstick is broken at the bottom where it enters the engine, so if you run the engine too long some oil drips out.  I recommend to come look at this mustang before bidding.  It is hard to describe every little thing about any type of car in an advertisement.  I have made sure it runs and now I want to give this car to someone who wants to finish it.  By the way, it ran smooth when it started. He did not have the complete car repainted ever.  The only place where the car was repainted was the very rear of the car at the trunk lid. It was replaced years ago due to a minor accident.  The trunk lid was off another car.  They did not buy a repop lid.
