Used 1971 Norton Commando 750 White Petrol 750L
Seller notes: | This motorcycle has been stored in a garage since 1982. Prior to this, it was ridden every day the only reason for storage was overseas job.As storage prep, the rear tyre was removed and sold. The bike was then coated in a liberal layer of WD40. Unfortunately I only sprayed the bare metal and not the tank which now has surface rust. Inside the tank looks ok but will need to be lined. The motor turns over freely and the cables all move. The slides in the cards move up and down easily, they are not frozen. The motor is not original. The original combat motor failed due to seized bearings. This occurred on all Combat motors within the first 10,000 miles. This was replaced with a rebuilt motor. Mileage since rebuild not known.Due to storage there is a lot of weathering. The seat has damage the speedo and tach both have damage.A lot of the spare parts where stored in a vat of used engine oil so condition of those parts is good. |
