This car was parked in 2017 in a carport and has recently been
brought back to life in a partial way. Drove around the block
for a brief trip. Not yet road ready, but close.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
This Datsun Z is a pretty rare find considering its overall
condition for a 50 yr old Datsun. The color combo too is pretty
rare and unique, white w/ red interior. This car has been in Az
for as long as I could track, so my guess most of its life. Is it
totally rot free ? no, but its probably one of the more solid unrestored
Z cars left on the planet. It got some rot in the front floors and
a few other areas, but nothing too crazy. I highly suggest checking
out all 100+ pics below. It was parked a few yrs ago, and we drained
the gas outta the tank, it was pretty bad. To see how well it would
run I ran a E fuel pump to a can of fresh gas under the hood and
it fired up after a few cranks, and sat there and idled. After that we
checked the water and I drove it around the block a few times.
I know the drivetrain is fine AND it is a matching #s motor to the
engine tag. ..much more detailed info below.

DRIVETRAIN: under the hood is the original matching #s
2.4L engine and 4 spd manual trans. It runs well and the engine
sounds fine. Exhaust is raspy, with a cherry bomb hanging out
the back. It shifts and brakes fine too. The only mod, which is actually
a well done and worthwhile mod are the dual webers in place of
the SU carbs. Not many Z cars this old still have the engines they
left the factory with, making this Z more desirable on that alone.INTERIOR: take a look at pics its mostly complete, and but its
obviously showing yrs of wear and tear. As I was driving it all the
gauges look to be working. Radio not stock. It would restore back
so nicely with the racing RED interior (Personally, Id paint the car
a nice Silver-pewter color on the outside) and it would even be
more beautiful when done. Interior is missing some small parts like
window cranks etc, but all the glass is good and doors work fine.EXTERIOR:you are looking at a repaint from back in the90s. which looks to be original color.Its a little flat, but would probably buff out if
you tried to save it for a while. Its notperfect by any means, but decent
enough for a daily if you wanted to. Chances are though this car will go thru a major restoration with its next owner.MIN RUST and rot on the body, both bumpers will need to be redone, but they are there if you
need them as cores. Headlights and tails work too. I didnt see any
obvious signs of past damage repair or body work, it could be there
but nothing jumped out at me, and again see the pics and video.SUSPENSION:the suspension looks pretty much like the wayit came from the factory and complete. It will need some resto here too of
course Im sure, but when I drove it around the block it actually handled
pretty well and no crazy noises coming from the suspension while driving
it around. Tires suck. Nothing looks tobe missing. Tires are rollers at best.

Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate. more infoAFTER the pics etc. There are 100+ large pics.

We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars.People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks.

Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating. People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers.
