Seller Description

This beautifully refurbished bike has barely been ridden since a major overhaul in 2015. From the original Norton Villiers Ltd. manual: "The Norton Commando is precision built, designed for the discerning rider who desires the ultimate in high speed motorcycling. This motorcycle is designed as a high speed roadster for solo use ... The well proven twin cylinder motor, the result of many years' development, is rubber mounted in a lightweight frame of entirely new design, which ensures superb road holding and smoothness of operation." Indeed, the Isolastic rubber engine mounts quell substantial vibrations from said big-parallel twin engine. This particular bike is made even more user-friendly by a brand new Alton electric starter.

Additionally, two new Dunlop TT100 tires (developed for the famous Isle of Man TT) have been mounted, as well as a new Colorado Norton Works Brembo Front Brake Assembly. All original parts are included, and additional available accessories can be negotiated at sale (Avon AM26 Roadrider tires, British Cycle Supply sidestand w/ mounting, Corbin gunfighter seat, helmet, goggles, gloves, etc.). All maintenance done at Sixth Street Specials in New York City and The Classic Bike Experience in Essex, Vermont, both featured on "Cafe Racer" television program.
PRICE HAS BEEN REDUCED by $1K [from initial listing] due to some call-outs on the dent in the gas tank, and a few minorpaint scratches. The tank is steel, and I have a quote of $500 to pop out the dent and fix up the paint, so I feel the price reduction more than compensates for this defect on an otherwise stellar bike! Please contact owner directly for more pictures, details on accessories, or any specific questions. Thanks in advance for your interest!
