1993 Ford Escort LX wagon. MAKE OFFER - read below. Converted to electric back in 1993 as brand new car, All 20,971 miles are all electric. Has been used on and off by various private owners over the years across the country. Set up with a large series-wound DC motor coupled to the original 5-speed transmission, 120-volt system. Started life with 20 6-volt GC batteries. Later set up with 20 12-volt sealed AGM batteries in series/parallel. Currently not running, needs new batteries and probably charger/BMS, new DC/DC convertor, new vacuum pump, new main contractors and fuses, and probably a new controller (the Curtis controller was being flakey when last used -briefly ran it with a Zilla for much nicer performance, Zilla not included).
Included a box full of olderRudman Regs and a couple of newer ones; some work some don't, and external power resistor load banks. Also has aZivan smoother(including the needed cabling and current sensor). NiceMES-DEA water heaterfor cabin heat/defrost, 4000W. Cassette radio ande-meter with prescalerinstalled in dash. Pair of replacementTYC headlight assembliesnew in box (purchased 2016). Have some of the air conditioning and power steering components that were removed. Which components go with car may depend on your desired use of the vehicle. Also have (4) 60-volt blocks from a Volt battery pack I was planning to use at one point - these may be available forseparatesale. Ten mostly dead 12-volt lead acid batteries in rear box not included (unless you really want them as cores).
Interior and exterior in nice condition given the age, some tree sap on hood and roof.
