Seller description

Item being relisted due to non-paying buyer. Read the full auction and understand the deposit and payment requirements before bidding. $250 via PayPal is required within 24 hours of winning or clicking Buy It Now. Remainder is due within 7 days via cash or check. Check will clear before I release the motorcycle or the title. If you have questions or concerns, get clarification PRIOR TO BIDDING. Reserve and Buy It Now have both been reduced for a quick sale! What is it?1999 Honda Valkyrie Interstate. Black and red color combination. 65k miles that will go up slightly as I continue to ride it to and from work on occasion. Odometer picture was taken the morning of 23SEP2020. Current mileage is 65,565 as of 07OCT2020. Once the sale ends and I receive the deposit, I will no longer ride it unless requested by the purchaser. Pictures were taken shortly after purchasing and show a temp tag. I have since titled and registered it. Title is free and clear in my name, ready to be signed over to the new owner!Condition? The bike is in overall very good condition, considering age and mileage. There are a few nicks in the paint in the saddlebag lids shown in the pictures that have been corrected with a paint pen, but are noticeable up close. It is missing the reflector off of the right-side bag. The right side engine cover retention tab broke off and is held in place with a small, otherwise unnoticeable screw. The dash has 4 screw holes in it where the previous owner tried to install a 12V accessory plug, but has since been removed. It comes with three keys. One for the ignition, gas cap, steering lock, and seat release. One for the left saddle bag. One for the right saddlebag. The good? This thing runs incredibly well. The carbs had been professionally balanced approximately a year before I bought it and only had about 1500 miles put on it since then. Engine is smooth and quiet. All electronics appear to work. Since I don't have the helmet communicator, I can't test it. But the previous owner said it worked. Radio and speakers work fine. CB module is not installed to my knowledge. No weird sounds or handling. Has a throttle lock. The dealership I work at has a Honda Gold Certified technician who told me "Ain't nothing wrong with it. It just needs to be ridden!" The paint has a deep shine to it. I have washed, clay barred, and waxed it and it looks absolutely amazing! Front/rear brake and clutch fluid was flushed and replaced. Tires still have some tread on them, enough for this season. But may need replacing before next year is over depending on your riding habits. The bad?The bike does not have the Interstate Trunk. Has a slight hiccup in the idle and light smoke out of the left tailpipe when first started that goes away with acceleration and after being warmed up. The same technician said it will clear up as it gets ridden more often. I've put three tanks through it so far and have put Marvel Mystery Oil in 2 of them. It has mostly disappeared, but is still present at times. Why am I selling it?I’ve only owned it for about a month, and I only bought it because I was in the right place at the right time. Even though it’s a dream bike of mine, I really need the room back in the garage. I’ve got to sell it because I’m enjoying riding it too much and truly have no need for it.The reserve price is where my costs are met. The buy-it-now will pass along this machine at what I think is a steal of a price, based on NADA and KBB pricing. Legal StuffI've done my best to be transparent with this listing. If you have questions or want more pictures of specific things, message me and I'll try to accommodate. Don't bid an amount that you don't already have or haven't been approved for. PayPal deposit of $250 is due within 24 hours of winning bid or buy-it-now and is non-refundable. Remaining balance is due within 7 days either by cash or check/cashier's check/money order. Checks "mistakenly" written for more than the amount of the sale will automatically be assumed to be fraudulent, shredded, and no refund on the deposit. Cash will be checked with a counterfeit pen. Funds will clear before the motorcycle leaves my property and title will be signed at the same time. If sending a check ahead of shipping/picking up the bike, I recommend certified mail so that I have to sign to receive it. While I won't hold you accountable for the transit time, proof of mailing the payment within the 7 days will still be required.I can store the motorcycle for up to 30 days after the auction ends if needed. If you need more time, message me before bidding.Shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser. I will work with shippers once you hire them, but the responsibility of finding and hiring are yours. If paying by check, nothing will leave my property until I am certain all funds have cleared and the money is in my bank account. So, don't show up with a check expecting to ride home that day, or schedule the shippers to arrive the same time as, or before, the check arrives. No warranties are offered or implied.
