...not with this. This bike makes me happy every time I look at it, let alone ride it.
I've recently had many life changes and I've held off selling, but it's time to let it go. I'm grateful for my time with this bike. We were very good to each other.
This is bike number #593 from the limited run of 2000 that Ducati manufactured in 2001/2002.
I bought this bike from its original owner (Texas) in the mid-2000s with roughy 100 miles on the odometer. I was living in London at the time and so it was in storage (New Jersey) until 2012 when I could get it back on the road.
At that time (2012), I serviced/replaced the following items:- New tires- New fuel pump- New fuel filter- New belts- New batteries (yes, there are two)and other various minor items.
I'm a believer that the best way to keep a bike healthy is to ride it from time to time. Since 2012, I've taken it for a 20 minute spin, every 4 to 6 weeks.
This bike has been extremely pampered. I've generally swapped out the gas after a few months so it wouldn't have old gas sitting in the system.
This bike has always been kept indoors and (obviously) never ridden in the rain.
It's probably ready for new batteries.
The bike comes with the stand (pictured), a thin indoor red cover (not weatherproof), and the plaque (pictured).
