Seller Description

Completely customized 2015 Mercedes Sprinter 4x4 Camper Van. Ready for your mountain bikes, all of your gear, groceries, dog, etc.!
The vehicle: 2015 Mercedes Sprinter 4x4 2500 with the 144"wheelbase. V6 Bluetec Diesel. Certified Pre-Owned purchase with extended 150,000 mile transferable warranty. Bought in May 2018 from Mercedes of Knoxville, one of the top-performing commercial Sprinter sales dealerships in the country. 25,xxx miles. 20k service recently completed. Customization happened over the course of 4 months in 2018. We were highly involved in the process, and this is our third van build, so we made what we felt were the best decisions and will be glad to discuss with serious buyers.
Exterior: New BFG All-Terrain tires with only 3k miles on them. Paint and body in excellent shape. All accessories professionally installed. Fiamma F65 Awning for keeping the sun off. Most camper vans attach these awnings to a roof rack, which allows water/rain to flow between the awning and the rack, down the side of the vehicle (not keeping you or your things dry). We chose to avoid this by attaching to the factory rail area to keep it flush - much better for staying dry and comfortable while hanging out under the awning. Aluminess brand ladder for accessing the top of the van/solar panels. Two 100-watt solar panels on the roof link to a 2000 watt Magnum Inverter, which includes a mount monitor inside the cabinet, so you can see your voltage. This all charges a 255 amp/hr Lifeline battery. Shore power connections (30amp) for when you are not in the wild, and want to plug up to an RV campsite/your friend's house.
Many of the windows were additions to the original vehicle (driver side kitchenette window with vents, both rear bed windows which slide to vent air while sleeping, and the back door rear windows). To be able to open the rear doors easily while still carrying a bike rack, we added the Yakima Swing Arm rack attachment, which will fit any 2" rack you may prefer (comes with a Kuat bike rack).
Interior Build: Top-of-the-line Kenwood Excelon stereo and sound system which sounds amazing, comes with touch screen, Bluetooth capability, and CD player. We upgraded the factory door speakers, and added 2x coaxial speakers and a 10" subwoofer. Festival ready!
Driver and passenger seats swivel around to the living area. Beautiful brushed aluminum LED puck lighting on the ceiling with a dimmer to adjust the brightness. His-and-hers adjustable reading lights by the bed, with nearby USB ports and 120v outlet for keeping electronics charged. LED strip color-change lights with remote control under the cabinet, and an additional USB/120v behind the driver's seat and next to the kitchen counters for appliances and phone charging while on the road.
The build first consisted of us lining the entire cargo area of the van in Kilmat brand sound deadening. Some people just do strips of this.

.. we lined the ENTIRE floor, wheel wells, walls, doors, and ceiling in this stuff for ultimate sound deadening! Next came the Havelock brand wool insulation. Wool is the best insulation you can purchase, especially for van builds - it is antimicrobial, resists moisture, will not mildew, retains heat and air amazingly well, is environmentally friendly, high R-value, and completely non-toxic. You definitely do not want to be breathing in some of the stuff other van builds use.
For heat and air, we added the newest Webasto heater, which comes with remote thermostat and can maintain heat at the temperature you select. For ventilation, we added a Maxxair fan that pulls air in or out, depending on your needs, and we added the Coleman Mach 8 air conditioning unit with heater.
One of our surprise favorite features is the accordion-style mosquito net that is installed on a track system. When pushed open, it hides away on the sliding door side of the vehicle. When pulled out, it completely covers the doorway, to let air in and keep bugs out. Great for sleeping with the door open, and you don't have to deal with any gaps (like with hanging bug nets).
For the kitchenette and storage, all cabinets and drawers have safety turn-lock handles, so there is no risk of your things falling out while driving. Custom teal and tobacco staining of the solid maple wood cabinets keeps it bright and beautiful inside while still showing off the natural woodgrain, with custom woodburnt mountain image on the sliding door. Two large overhead cabinets, three drawers, one sliding cabinet (where we keep the water tanks that lead to the sink, and still have room for storage), and a top-of-the-line NovaKool brand refrigerator with shelf freezer keeps drinks and food perfectly chilled. NovaKool refrigerators are known for keeping their draw on the powersource very low, so it can stay on all the time!
The butcher block countertop in the kitchenette is custom-made out of local black walnut, and is absolutely gorgeous. It holds a Dometic brand sink, which is easy-to-clean stainless with a foldable spigot and draws from a fresh water tank, then drains to a greywater tank.
The seating bench, covered in southwestern-style custom upholstery, also serves as storage. We keep the custom window sunshade covers and curtains inside, and still have room for more! The pad secures to the bench with easy-to-use velcro, and is filled with comfy memory foam. The walls are made of sturdy-but-lightweight maple wood with a very natural stain, and the ceiling is birch with a slight whitewash to keep the interior bright. The floors are a beautiful sandstone-colored rubber coin flooring for ruggedness, grip, and easy cleanup.
The bed area comes with his-and-hers cubbies for clothes and gear. The bed platform is fully removable, so if you needed the full "garage" area, you could have it. We intentionally kept the bed placed high, so that the garage area underneath would be capable of holding mountain bikes inside, if needed. It has plenty of storage room, and includes the L-track system for strapping down anything that may need that. In the garage area, storage boxes built over the wheel wells store the spray outdoor shower that comes off through the rear doors, holds the inverter/battery, and acts as hideaway storage. They can also serve as a bench for seating, if the bed platform is removed.
Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed this build, and handpicked everything that went inside. Will answer any questions a serious buyer may have. This is a badass rig that will have people stopping you to ask questions/look inside, wherever you ride!
