: | 1958 Austin Lancer Series 1Fitted with a 1600 cc B series engine and twin SU carbies.Modified cylinder head for use with unleaded fuel.The body has been lowered and is in very good rust free condition. The paintwork is reasonable and the interior is tidy. See photos.This vehicle was purchased in SA several years ago and driven back to Melbourne. The car performed very well and returned a fuel consumption of 7 Lit. / 100 kl. It was very capable of sitting on 90 to 100 kl./hr. Since then it has been sitting in a garage and has not been used.These cars were built on a Morris Minor platform but with a much larger engine. The B series is the same as that fitted to the MGA and all the MG mods can be used. All parts are readily available. |
