Seller Description

Here we have a time warp Corvette that should not be missed.
I am offering this basically standard vehicle to the market to provide the opportunity to those who would like to own a machine that looks and drives like it just came out of the factory in 1973.
Although I do love this car I am looking for a faster version and I would like to offer this car to the enthusiast rather than modify it for speed.
This is a numbers matching vehicle that is in superb condition with 65k miles on the clock. The interior appears to be standard as does the upholstery, carpets etc.
The car is well optioned with aircond and premium radio. The aircond compressor is not connected at present as it was degassed when the car was imported. It is currently in storage and comes with the car.
The car is rust free and very very tidy with good paint and trim given its age. The body is laser straight and all those important strips and underbody features are where they should be.
This Corvette was imported into Australia on September 2005 by the previous owner who I purchased from a few years ago. Its use during that time was very limited.
There is history prior to importation where it is believedto be a Dallas car. It did however end up in a Private Collection of Wes Abendrothe's in California (check him out on the web) and it has a specific plate in the interior representing that history.
Overall I don't believe that there is a more original 1973 454 in Australia and I don't believe that any buyer would be disappointedin this car.
Now a couple of things as I don't want to misrepresent the car....
I have recently fitted a new Mallory tach drive distributor and an MSD box in order to keep the ignition top notch. The original distributor and bits and pieces come with the car.
The hand brake mechanisms at the rear wheels need replacing and I have those new parts including new rear rotors.
The car is fitted with new Willwood 6 spot calipers on the front and 4 spot on the rear to ensure braking safety.

The original brakes come with the car.
The car has just been fitted with a set of Hooker extractors and complete exhaust system with duel tips and an xpipe. This was done due to the original exhaust being in very poor condition due to age. The original headers come with the car and are completely usable if returning to standard.
Occasionallywhen the car sits it does have some oil drops around the Turbo 400 gearbox but I understand this is not unusual. I was not planning to do anything about this.
The rallye wheels you see on the car are aftermarket with new rings and centres.
You have the choice of these wheels or the originals which I have in storage. The car came with the optional hub caps you can see in the alternative picture and these parts are very hard to get especially when there are in such good condition.
So there we have it....this car drives beautifullyand trulylooks the part. It is not a doctored up hotrod but a car that you can just drive and look at it and appreciate its history...check out the details of the pictures and I am sure you will be able to understand the special patinathat can be seen, you just know what this car is all about when you view those pictures.
The car never overheats and has good oil pressure
Again, if you want a car that drives and looks like like stock then this is for you. If you want a car to work on for speed and performance then this also is the perfect starting point.
At the moment it fits the first category...a really beautifulcar.
No Paypal unfortunately unless you pay those pesky fees...message me if you would like to arrange this
I will leave this with you to ponder...
Is it better to have a desirableBig Block car like this or to have some worked on bits and pieces car... that may have had many dollars spent on it, but which is better in the end when you want to resell ?
