: | . Stored since 2012, started to get it back to track (new brakes so far) but now seeing rust in the sills, rear quarters, doors, and other places. None of it terminal, just wouldnt pass scrutineering, and Im not a panel beater. Was on Vic club permit, cage side intrusion was designed to pass a Vic RWC for access. Everything works, starts, runs, stops. Bits needing work: body, of course; sump has extra baffles, but one weld point has fractured so leaks just below the gasket line, and the Nolathane bushes are breaking up. Message me for any pics, videos of it running and driving, questions etc. |

Seller Description
Built in 2003 as an all round club racer for the kids to learn to drive in on the road and on the track, and for Mum & Dad to have fun in on the track. Motor, 2 litre SOHC Bluebird built by Powerplay (previously DatRally) for good midrange torque and enough power to be fun but manageable for the kids, they also did the welded in cage and suspension. (still have the receipts filed somewhere, will dig them out). 45 Webers on a Powerplay port matched manifold, head work to suit. Has a 260Z close ratio box for road and track, and a spare 240K wide ratio box for motorkhana. 260Z front brakes, std single spinner diff (learner driver friendly) Konis and King springs. Fly-off handbrake for khanas plus std handbrake. Kids painted the blue on school holidays using a 4 inch brush and a tin of Thomas the Tank Engine Blue left over from a train of the same name built out of old drums, it hasn't lasted the distance - it was interior paint. Used for club sprints, khanas, 6 Hour events and hillclimbs, its last event was 2010, by then we were running Targa in a Commodore so it got parked. Log booked as an Improved Production car in 2012, intended to be back on the track but never got there. Stored since then, started to get it back to track (new brakes so far) but now seeing rust in the sills, rear quarters, doors, and other places. None of it terminal, just wouldn't pass scrutineering, and I'm not a panel beater. Comes with 2 sets of mag wheels (intended for wet & dry tyres) and a set of steelies for road use and khanas. Boot mounted battery, electric fuel pump. Mag wheels include 4 pretty speccy Japanese mags usually seen on 240Z's, not separating so please don't ask - if you want the wheels, buy the car. All wheels 14 inch. Car is located in NE Vic, near Wodonga, can view it up here and run and drive it. Could help with delivery to Melbourne or Canberra (costs to be negotiated).
It is advertised elsewhere so reserve the right to withdraw it; bank deposit, cash or Paypal only.
