UK supplied 1992 CRX Del Sol VTi B16A2, manual box With trans
top roof inSamba Green metallic.
Condition of this car inside and out can only be
described as true showroom condition. Having Never been welded anywhere with
completely original arches & sills, no rust anywhere on the bodywork or
underneath I have over 200 photographs with all the body panels off clearly
showing that there isn’t even a whisper of rust anywhere to be seen which is
truly remarkable given the age and nature of del sols.
Completely original specification no modifications
to the car what so ever which is very rare on its own never mind in this
condition with only 66k miles (only upgrade is aftermarket Pioneer head unit
and Alpine speakers).
Mileage is currently 63,665 miles. 3
previous owners one of which being Honda.The car was registered in November 1992 and used
regularly until 1997, racking up 57,000 miles with full Honda main dealer history
to back this up and old paper MOT documents. It then was bought by an
investment banker and was shipped to his villa in Gibraltar, residing there
until 2010 when it returned to the UK with the odometer showing just over
59,000 miles again with all of the Gibraltar registration documents and some servicing
invoices. So, it’s only done ~6,000 miles in the last 24 years with a fully
documented MOT history and servicing paper trail to prove this genuine millage.
Comes with all of paperwork above plus, a Honda wallet with all books including
owner’s manual and service record, spare keys and official Honda CRX brochure which
is very rare.I bought it in the summer of 2018 where I decided to re-set
the maintenance clock (as I usually do with my cars) and carried out an
extensive amount of mechanical work as well as refreshing the bodywork,
refurbishing the wheels and replacing the tyres – see below for details.Work done during my ownership:-
September 2018 (~62,500 miles)
- Change engine oil ( Motul 8100 5W-40) and filter
(Honda HAMP).
- Change gearbox oil (Honda MTF-3).
- Change power steering fluid (Honda PSF-S).

- Change clutch fluid.
- Change brake fluid.
- Change timing belt and water pump.
- Check ignition timing.
- Check valve clearances.
- Replace spark plugs (NGK V-Power).
- Replace VTEC solenoid valve gasket.
- Replace rocker cover gasket.
- Replace camshaft oil seals.
- Remove and clean engine sump pan, replace sump
gasket.
- Flush system and change coolant (Honda Long
Life).
- Replace radiator.
- Replace thermostat.
- Replace fuel filter.
- Replace air filter.
- Replace rear brake calipers and pads.
- Check belts, boots, seals, hoses, lines,
connections etc.
- Replace wiper blades.
April – July 2019 (~63,000 miles)
- Carry out MOT.
- Refurbish wheels and fit new Toyo Proxes tyres
(Wheel Pro Scotland).
- Undertake full bodywork / engine bay detailing
and paintless dent removal (RGK detailing).
April 2020 (63,300 miles)
- Change engine oil (Motul
8100 X-Cess 5W-40) and filter (Honda HAMP).
May 2021 (63,365 miles)
- Carry out MOT.
- Change engine oil (Motul 8100 X-Cess 5W-40) and
filter (Honda HAMP).
All the rubber seals
were stripped, roof, door, window and bootlid have been cleaned up and treated/protected
with Honda Shin Etsu grease to re vitalise protect and preserve.So having read all that you will be slowly
starting to realise that this is a true one-of-a-kind opportunity a really
special car that you will probably never see or get the chance to own again
being near 30 years old this a true modern classic and its value will only now
increase with time.
