This is my Indian which I found in a motorcycle garage some time ago. Owner had bit off more than he could chew and it was languishing.
I bought it and rode it for a few years including France ,Belgium and Holland,
It was hand built in the Gilroy factory in California by the Indian company 1[hidden information]. The vin number is correctly registered as Indian Motorcycle Co.
It is a heavy bike and the engine is fantastic. I think these make about 100 horsepower but don't quote me. The engine is an S&S 88cu in SIDEWINDER.Long motor i.e slightly stroked. MASSIVE TORQUE. THIS WAS SUPPLIED FULLY BUILT BY S&S. (EMAIL from factory to prove this)
This bike has a low centre of gravity but it is heavy.
Following open heart surgery this bike is too much for me.
New billet alloy forward controls and P.M front brake caliper, billet wheels.This bike is covered in billet and would have cost A LOT.
The bad bits, not much really, will probably need fresh fuel and carb clean.It needs a new rear light lens.
It has a gearbox or bottom end oil leak, i suspect hard seals so will need sorting.
When I was running it the ignition dropped on to one cylinder so I bought another but never got round to fixing it. It could do with a new rear caliper. the THUNDERHEART billet fitted is not much good and obsolete. Other than that Harley or S&S parts will fit.

NO MOT AND WILL NEED TRAILERING ETC. MILEAGE WAS ABOUT 5 OR 6 THOU WHEN I BOUGHT IT, CHECK OLD MOT.S NEW CLOCK SHOWS BETWEEN 1 AND 2 THOU.
GENUINE BIKE BUT SOLD AS SEEN. NO STUPID OFFERS OR TYRE KICKERS. RESERVE IS REASONABLE. IF I DON'T GET IT I WON'T SELL IT.THE ENGINE AND GEARBOX ALONE IS WORTH THE RESERVE.
