this is a Kawasaki tecate 4 250 2 stroke racing quad for sale.
for those in the know these things are legendary and are the ultimate racing quad due to it being super lightweight and a counterbalanced 250 2 stroke engine based on the kx250.
they have 6 speeds and will pull a genuine 80mph.
due to having a counterbalanced engine this means they are very smooth too.
has front and back light. the front light is pop up and I have the cover.
unfortunately this ones a non runner due to no spark. it has a new statorplate with extra lighting coil and flywheel. it seems there a broken wire or failed cdi unit.
although some spares can be rare in the uk , in America theres no shortage of parts.
all cables, bearings, brake pads etc can be found no problem in the uk.
engine parts 80 percent are kx250 items.

all plastics and other components can be found in America.
you can swap the whole electrics out for kx250 items but you'll lose the lights doing this.
it is a project. it will need front and rear pads, chain and sprockets plus a few other bits.
on the plus side excellent compression. theres no play on the flywheel which means the main bearings are good. selects all gears. exhaust has no dints , cracks or repairs.
it really is a excellent base for restoration. for a quad it weighs bugger all.
last one I saw sell in the uk sold for ВЈ6700 OMG so has loads of potential. you'll never lose a penny.
