The Chrysler Concorde is a large, full-size 4-door front-wheel drive sedan produced by the American car company Chrysler between 1993 and 2004. This model was based on the Chrysler LH platform. The predecessors of the Chrysler Concorde were cars such as the Chrysler Fifth Avenue and the Chrysler LHS.

During the production of the Concorde model, two whole generations of these cars were produced. The design of the first generation Concorde was based on the Lamborghini Portofino concept, which was unveiled at the 1987 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Chrysler Concorde sedan itself wasfirst presented to the public in 1992 at the International South American Auto Show in Detroit as a 1993 model. The body length was 5,151 mm, width - 1,890 mm, height - 1,430 mm. The design for the second generation of Chrysler Concorde vehicles was developed by 1996, when it was introduced as the Chrysler LHX concept car. The concept had large 20-inch wheels, a dashboard positioned in the center, and a closed-circuit television system that replaced the usual rear-view mirrors. The length of the body has become longer compared toThe first generation was 5,311 mm, the width remained the same - 1,890 mm, the height - 1,420 mm. The wheelbase of the first and second generation Chrysler Concorde was 2,870 mm. It is worth noting that the wheelbase of the Chrysler LHX concept car has been increased to 3,100 mm.

For the first generation of Chrysler Concorde cars, there were two options for gasoline engines: a 3.3-liter EGA V6 power unit with 162 hp. and a 3.5-liter EGJ V6 engine with 214 hp. As for the transmission, a 4-speed automatic was used.and 42LE gears. The front suspension of the car was independent and included wishbones, spring-loaded struts and a transverse stabilizer. The rear suspension of the Chrysler Concorde was also independent spring with double wishbones and a transverse stabilizer.

In 1996, Chrysler introduced two trim levels for the Chrysler Concorde: the base LX and the improved LXi. The main difference between the LXi version was the improved sound insulation.

In 1997, the 3.3-liter EGA V6 engine was discontinued in the Chrysler Concorde models.

Started in 1998the second generation of Chrysler Concorde sedans. Three engine options were already used in the new cars: a 2.7-liter EER V6 engine with 200 hp. the six-cylinder power unit V6 with a volume of 3.2 liters with an output of 225 hp. and the previously used 3.5-liter EGJ V6 engine, which had been increased to 234 hp by 2004. The same 4-speed automatic transmission was offered for all engines.

In 2002, a special version of the Chrysler Concorde model called Limited was released. This version had a unique interior finish with a 2-colorinterior trim, as well as various golfing paraphernalia including a special leather Chrysler golf bag.

In 2004, production of the Chrysler Concorde was completed, and in 2005 it was replaced by a car called the Chrysler 300.
