There was no revolution in the appearance of the Kia Soul, but the transformations turned out to be quite pleasant. The exterior design of the second generation was carried out by three studios located in theparts of the world: Frankfurt (Germany), California (USA) and Seoul (South Korea). Even a quick glance is enough to notice the familiar proportions and lines of the previous generation. But the designers have significantly modernized the appearance of the model. At the front, instead of "double-deck" headlights, there are one-piece headlights with integrated LEDs for daytime running lights. The radiator grille has acquired a new honeycomb structure, while maintaining the familiar trapezoidal shape. The lower corners of the trapezoid are adjacent to the round fogheadlights. The rear part is decorated with new posts of overall lighting equipment, which organically fit into the vertical surface of the stern, a compact tailgate and a powerful bumper, echoing in shape with the front fairing.

In general, the profile and proportions of the Kia Soul remained the same - the "horizontal" roofline, inflated wheel arches, an almost vertical windshield - all these features were characteristic of the previous generation of the car. However, the design solutions were quite enough to refresh the externalcrossover look, giving it more dynamism and charisma.

The exterior does not have beauty in the traditional sense, but it looks original and bright. All 2014 Souls come in deliberately vibrant colors such as Acid Green, Ultra Yellow and Latte Macchiato.
