The Series II Jaguar XJ6 is still considered to be one of the most beautiful cars in the world, with engineering, handling and ride comfort decades ahead of its time. This long-wheelbase vehicle is a particularly rare find as it has been preserved in its largely original, unmolested and well above average condition.
It retains its original 4.2-litre engine with twin SU carburettors, driving and performing extremely well on the road. The original BTR automatic transmission shifts gears smoothly, even by modern standards.
The car has original heating and the factory air conditioning is still icy cold. It has recently had two new front shock absorbers, two new tyres, a genuine right-hand top ball joint, heater tap and hoses.
Both the body and paint still present extremely well. The car has benefited from a respray at some stage in its life but this was not done recently. Rather, the car has been looked after and still displays its beautifully preserved shine. Although this isn't a show car, there are no severe dents or scratches in the bodywork either.
Factory carpets and covers are in great condition, with hardly any wear. Headlining is also in great order with no sagging.
Floor pans are still original, untouched and in excellent condition with NO rust on them.

You can use it for weekend cruises or as a daily driver with appropriate maintenance.
The car is registered in Victoria until 29 January 2020. Personalised plates (genuine 1976 combination), original owners' manuals and Production Record Trace Certificate (No. 65102) from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust are all included with the sale.
You will be hard pressed to find a better one for the money.
